ABOUT THE COALITION

Guiding EMS Education into the Future,

Formed in 2012, the Emergency Education Coalition (EEC) is dedicated to representing the professional interests of all future EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders, firefighters and other professionals working in pre-hospital emergency medicine.

EEC works in all sectors of EMS, including government service agencies, fire departments, hospital-based ambulance services, private companies, industrial and special operations settings, and in the military. The coalition is the product of a cooperative effort between Faithful Guardian Training Center and The City of Carrollton Fire Department. The EEC Board of Directors were chosen due to their years of experience and passion for EMS.

The Board of Directors is guided by an advisory committee that consists of current and former students, EMS instructors, other healthcare professionals, and the public that work closely with EMS.

  • EEC represents all future EMS practitioners and the communities they serve by promoting:

  • Greater understanding and appreciation by government agencies at the local, state and national levels of the role that EMS plays in our nation's health care, public safety and disaster response systems.

  • Pay and benefits that reflects their professional training, responsibilities and dedication.

  • Leadership at the federal level that fosters and supports the delivery of quality EMS nationwide.

  • Adequate and sustainable funding for EMS in all locations.

  • Public policy that supports EMS practitioners and the patients they serve.

  • Become a resource for all EMS related education.

  • Serve as a champion for EMS education locally, regionally, and nationally.

  • Nurture the relationship between our students and the communities they will serve.

  • Strengthen alliances with our clinical partners to enhance student education and service through the community.
